Phase B of the Athens Concert Hall (MEGARON) complex (phase A completed in 1992). The 140.000sq.m. extension to the Athens Concert Hall features a 1.400 seats Lyrical Stage with state of the art stage technology, capable of accommodating the most demanding alternating lyrical repertory, a 400 seat Stage designed primarily for ballet performances, a 1.000 seat multifunction Banqueting Hall supported by full production kitchens, extensive exhibition spaces for art shows, a versatile conventions center with a large number of break off rooms of various sizes, extensive foyers for all the above functions, large rehearsal and recording studios, a large music library with extensive reading rooms, a 700 spaces Car Park and all the required auxiliary spaces. The MEGARON complex (including the 35.000 sq.m. of phase A, has been planned to accommodate simultaneously 10.000 users. Phase B is almost entirely an underground facility, covered by a 20.000 sq.m., intensively landscaped, Public Garden.
